Growing up, we were taught that it is our duty as citizens to obey laws for the common good of everyone and the nation. We’ve known laws to be a set of rules implemented and enforced by the government to keep society safe from unwanted chaos and disruption. Most importantly, laws ensure our freedom and rights are always protected.
Whether you aspire to become a lawyer in the future or even a career outside of the legal realm, as a citizen, it’s essential that you have at least basic knowledge of the legal system in your country, the Philippines. This also includes being aware of the governing branches of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
